Or it just depends on how one applies it? I don't understand women who mention "natural beauty" when makeup is mentioned. I don't care what men say about makeup since they're not the ones wearing it. But what's the bitterness behind women who don't wear makeup towards women who wear makeup? If they don't know how to apply makeup, or they don't have fashion sense at all, they should say so, instead of making an excuse that they prefer "natural beauty". I really don't understand their aversion towards makeup and women wearing it. They act as if makeup is permanent like a boob job.

It's simply personal preference.
I've seen no bitterness from my friends who don't wear makeup. Some prefer not to and I wouldn't assume it's an excuse as you say it is.

Some women just don't like when other women have their faces caked with makeup that doesn't do a lot to compliment their natural beauty. When you put on makeup, you need to make it look as though you're not wearing any, or hardly any at all.

If applied properly it could enhance natural beauty. People don't make a big deal about makeup wearers, unless its applied wrong. Even then be okay with maybelline, or max and say "So What".

It is supposed to enhance, not cover. Yeah, with an inch of foundation on your face, 10 coats of mascara, and garish lip and eye color, you look like a clown. I do see lots of questions from men about makeup and how it covers up a woman's features, and once I saw one from a woman, carrying on about how any makeup at all on other women undid all she had "worked for all her life." Hmmm
I just know I look better with a little mineral foundation and a coat of mascara. I never wear makeup at home.

Absolutely not! Makeup, when properly applied, only enhances beauty. It can magically cover flaws, "contour" one's face to accent a particularly beautiful feature, and best of all, it can make many of us "Plain Janes", look gorgeous.
No one should deride another's preferences. Wear makeup if you want to - or don't! It's each woman's (or man's) choice.

im not sure i get it either. the make up i use has actually improved my skin tone and the clarity of my skin, so if anything it is ENCHANCING my natural beauty. prior to using this type of makeup, i HATED going out without any makeup on. now tho if i happen to wake up late or im in a hurry, its not such a big deal if i have to go a day without makeup because my skin tone and clarity has improved because the quality of the makeup i use is so high
but it does all boil down to personal preference. i like wearing makeup. people already compliment my eyes all the time so to use makeup to make them stand out just a little bit more is fun. plus, as i said, the quality of makeup i use has lead to better skin, so if i have to go without makeup for a day im more comfortable with it than i used to be.
some people just dont like makeup. i have a friend who went to an avon (maybe mary kay? i dont remember) party, the host showed her how to apply it all perfect and whatnot, and my friend looked freaking AMAZING afterwards. you could tell she was digging all the attention she got, but has she worn makeup since then? nope. dunno why

it has nothing to do with fashion sense or not knowing how, it's seeing beautiful young girls cover their natural beauty with ugly make up! They THINK it looks good when in fact it looks fake and awful! It's sad that corporations have made girls grow up THINKING they need the crap when they don't! If ANYONE needed make up it would be the older women, not the young girls with beautiful skin! There are just some people who prefer NATURAL everything to FAKE anything as well! How sad for girls to be afraid to leave the house without PAINTING a face on first!!! and what a WASTE of money to boot! Besides looks are so far down on the pole of importance you feel sorry for them that they really don't have a clue about life in general!!!

It's all just an opinion. There is no right and wrong. Some people think makeup mars one's natural beauty. Others, like me, think that if it's applied properly, it can enhance natural beauty. And others like to slap it on so thick that it's neither natural nor beautiful anymore. lol It's just an opinion, a preference. Who cares?
>But what's the bitterness behind women who don't wear makeup towards women who wear makeup?
No idea....I don't know any women like that.
PS, couldn't your statements - that these women don't know how to do it, or have no fashion sense - also be taken as "bitterness" against those you disagree with? Just sayin'....

it can cover up, enhance what's there or used for fun
if women don't like it then don't wear it, that's fine
if she's such a baby getting bitter about my makeup i'd just tell her to fu(k off and quit being jealous that she can't work it like i can
