Is it possible to kill the root of a healthy tooth without the patient knowing it?

Is it possible to kill the root of a healthy tooth without the patient knowing it?

How long before it starts to hurt and has to be pulled?

I wouldn’t think so.

it is possible, if the right amount of laughiing gas was put in your mouth.

My uncle had that happen but I don’t know the details.

He’s a dental disaster; he had TWO sets of wisdom teeth and got an impacted tooth during a root canal.

more details…?

I’m assuming you’ve had a filling and you think maybe the dentist messed up?

If they did do this, and you’re concerned about the nerve (which is IN the root) being dead, then it could hurt the next day or hold off for months or even a year. it’s impossible to say.

the good news is that you don’t have to pulls the tooth. if the nerve is dead, you just need a root canal to clean out the infected nerve tissued and fill the canal w/ inert rubber. then maybe a crown. good luck!

You will definitely feel it an very quickly. The pain you get from nerves in your teeth are so intense that you are going to feel it immediately.

If the nerves in your teeth get exposed via a cavity, you are going to be in a dentists office pretty quickly because you won’t be able to bear the pain.
