Q&A: Do you think Beauty has more economic value than being good in academics?

Do you think Beauty has more economic value than being good in academics?

I think people look at you and see how beautiful you look,
and they don;t care if you have an outstanding talent or a double degree. The first thing they look at is your body, so a supermodel fit body is more better than having a college degree.

What do you think?

In the short run, you are right. But, and this is an important "but", the calendar always wins, and age will take away much of the beauty you have as a young person, and you will wind up either growing old with dignity or spending a fortune on plastic surgery and cosmetics to keep up the appearance of youth. Barring tragic accident or a disease such as Alzheimer's, you will have your education and those skills associated with it for a much longer time.

If you were lucky enough to be born with physical beauty, good for you. But, there's nothing wrong with being beautiful and smart is there?

being positive , kind .caring and loving are better than beauty and if you are good looking ,good ,but the best thing in life is a open mind and a loving heart

I think the brains and talents are obviously more important than good lucks, but you're right. Humans are very judgmental creatures and the very first impressions we get of people are their looks, which will initially either attract you or not. Scientists who make discoveries and great authors get their time to shine, but it's almost always just temporary. They slip out of the media pretty quickly. Actors and models on the other hand will be around for much longer, simply because people are superficial. It's just how it goes. I think people DO care if you have degrees and talents...they'll respect you for it...but it might also intimidate them?

What do you think? Answer below!
