the outer beauty is what is seen first and that attracts most people and as long as they can attract someone inner beauty doesn't matter.

because even though it's great to look at inner beauty, the truth is that our society is very superficial and quick to judge. i think many feel that in order for anyone to stick around to see their inner beauty, they have to get attention first with the outer beaty.

The irony is that inner beauty is pure and innocent and lasts a lifetime and beyond though most of us don't groom it in any way. On the other hand we spend hours out of day admiring ourselves looking in the mirror to make sure we are just perfect doing everything we can to make ourselves look better while are body's age and decompose in front of our eyes to a wrinkled shadow of what we once were. Then we die and turn to dust and the outer beauty we tried so hard to preserve is gone forever.
