this did happen monday and i did see a doctor...the gave me anti biotics and ointment....but i dont know if i should soak it or what..or i dont know if it will call off because it ripped all the way down to the cuticle.

You need to see a doctor! Does it hurt a lot?
Clean it thoroughly with hydrogen peroxide or other disinfectant, put some aloe on it, and bandage it so it holds the nail firmly in place. Then see a doctor, pronto!
