When I mean your inside beauty, I don't mean your intestines and those type of things. I mean your personality and who you are.
People from the beginning want to make sure they look all nice and act in a way that other people will accept you. What matters more is your personality and your heart because it's what people will always remember you by. They will never really remember how beautiful you looked and all, but they will always remember how you act, your attitude, and your kindness. Why not try to make your heart beautiful, so that other people will know you by that.
It's very hard to work on you inward beauty, but it's the most important.

Yeah it's true indeed...Lately all that some girls/guys care about is money and outer beauty...That's why nowadays relationships end up in a disasterous way...the break up because they realize that they aren't meant for each other etc

Outer beauty is the invitation to get to know the inner beauty. Now for some, outer beauty is the only facet they seem to cultivate, leaving nothing but a shallow, hollow shell. I just don't think these shallow people have a firm grasp on what they are missing by not cultivating a deeping meaning to their life.

When u call it outside beauty it is that person which others see in u and then make compliments aur taunts eyc. which eventually shapes ur actions for the next time. It is a case of low self esteem.

Because when you walk down the street and see someone, you can't possibly say they have beautiful inner beauty as it's an unknown element. The first thing you see is the physical and unfortunately some people get stuck on that.

yeah,now beauty is a competition. specially girls who do that buy new clothes everyweek,wear ring chain and manymore some boy do it but some not.

Because we all want love and acknowledgement.. we only exist within the backdrop of our environment, our value and self-worth depends on it.. others are the mirror in which we see ourselves.
And we're all to blame for it... think about how often parents compliment the child with "you are so cute".. rather than "you are so kind, you are so smart, you can draw so well".. no.. "you are so pretty, you are so cute".
It all has to do with superficiality. See, what we find beauty is completely dependent on our own ideals and opinions.. our ideals.. while we think today that skinny people are pretty, despite their bones sticking out, you can see in paintings of rembrandt and others, that being chubby was considered much more pretty in his time and age.. so what we believe is beauty or not, depends on opinions and ideas.. seeing 16 year old, pretending to be 30 year old who remain young by using creams, in fashion magazines, as advertisement.. makes 30 year olds feel ugly despite being completely natural..
Media, advertisement.. they teach us this from the start.. because feeling disconent with oneself is an excellent motivation for people to buy crap.. makeup, plastic surgery, etc. etc.
Short answer, because we are ignorant sheep.
