So last night I was feeling crafty, but all my spinning muscles were tired.
so I built a bead loom out of an old paint tray and a plastic comb (broke the comb in half, superglued it to the tray teeth up)…and busted out the graph paper.
I haven’t beaded this way in at least fifteen years, but it’s all still in my head!

Tips:
Home Remedies for Whiter Teeth: The Good and the Bad
Article by Kim Allarie
Clean, white teeth are essential to a beautiful smile. To whiten teeth, patients often choose expensive procedures, such as UV ray whitening, at a cosmetic dentist. The use of prescription creams and gels, complete with a custom teeth tray, is popular as well. However, it is unnecessary to spend hundreds of dollars on clinical teeth whitening, when simple home remedies work just as well.
Baking soda is a popular-and more importantly, effective-way to whiten teeth cheaply. There are several ways to apply baking soda. Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with a glass of water. Swish the baking soda solution around your teeth, until the entire glass is used up. A more effective method of application is to mix baking soda into your regular toothpaste. Then thoroughly brush your teeth with the baking soda-enriched toothpaste. Alternatively, take two small strips of foil, and press them onto your teeth, to make teeth trays. Place your baking soda and toothpaste mixture into the trays. Wear the trays for an hour. Then brush your teeth.
Another way to get whiter teeth is to brush your teeth regularly with toothpaste that contains hydrogen peroxide. There are a number of toothpastes on the market now that offer a ‘whitening’ version of the variety that you’re used to using. You can also make your own toothpaste for peroxide teeth whitening. All you need to do is mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda until you form a paste. Brush your teeth with this paste and rinse your mouth out a few times to make sure there is no residue. Make sure that you don’t swallow the paste, since these ingredients can be harmful when ingested. For this reason, this solution is not recommended for young children.
Some people have also used hardwood ashes to whiten teeth. Why does ash whiten teeth? It contains potassium hydroxide, commonly known as lye. The ashes of hardwood-maple, oak, etc-contain significantly more potassium hydroxide than the ashes of softwood-pine, spruce, etc. Because lye is a rather harsh chemical, this is considered an unsafe way to whiten your teeth.
Lemon juice is another popular remedy to whiten teeth. It does whiten teeth – but how? The lemon juice leeches calcium from the enamel, giving it an off-white color. However, the calcium is what gives teeth their strength! Lemon juice, in whitening your teeth, weakens them. Not recommended.
Not only is baking soda considered more effective than most of these other home remedies, it is safe. Baking soda has virtually no negative effects on your teeth. Things like hydrogen peroxide, ashes, crushed strawberries, and lemon juice are all considered risky by dentists.
Finally, the most important component of whiter teeth is hygiene. Teeth need to be brushed once in the morning, and once in the evening. Any toothpaste containing fluoride will do. Spend three minutes gently scrubbing your teeth. Remember to brush along the inner rings. Rinse thoroughly with fluoride-enriched water.
