This will also soften the pressure on your gums. Naturally, it will not help if you also drink acidic and alcoholic beverages. During the first few weeks your dentist may advise to wear your dentures all the time even while you are sleeping so that you can immediately assess if something needs adjustment. It will definitely take some time to for you to get used to it but the long term benefits of having false teeth or dentures will overweigh the slight discomfort you will temporarily feel.
