my fiance went to a beauty salon yesterday and she cut the tips off of her hair and styled and whathaveyou and they told her that she needs a thermal treatment for her hair cause it is badly damaged from straighting her hair. I wanna get her the treatment as a gift.. any recommendations. price is not an option. even if i have 2 get it at a salon. thanx

Get her some in salon treatments, about 5 and Go buy her some Purology Nanoworks It will be expensive but it will stop the breakage and she will love it...

any high-end [&& some department] brands have thermal protectors.
i use aussie's leave-in condition/heat protector && tresemmé's heat protector. both were around $ 3 or under.
also, if she's straightening her hair, tell her to invest in a straightening balm such as redken's align #12 or john frieda's straight answer straightening spray [you put them on after the shower && blow dry them] - most of those products have thermal protection already in them; i just use the sprays before i straighten my hair to give my hair more of a fighting chance.
check walmart - you'll find a lot of sprays that say 'heat protector.' :]
