My opinion, home remedies don't work properly and it sounds like your hair was either damaged or overprocessed. Use Aphogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair and use the 2 Minute Reconstructor, put on a plastic cap, sit under the hair dryer for 10 minutes, rinse, and then apply some Aphogee Leave In Conditioner. Do this weekly for a month and your hair will back to it's normal stage..

Your hair is constantly growing but it doesn't look like it's growing because it's breaking off at the same rate.Make sure you keep your ends moisturized and wash it at least once a week. You can use leave-in conditioners and deep conditioners to lock in moisture. And whatever you do don't over-use blow dryers and curling irons, they'll dry out your hair. Girl, I'm having that same problem. I'm african american and trying to grow my hair out as well. Be sure to check out ubhpublications.com. Her book will be helpful.
